Rapper and producer DNG (Dedicated'NGalvanic) was born and raised in The Hague City, mid70's.
Around the time when Beatstreet and Breaking came out in the early 80's, DNG slowly started to get interested in Hip Hop music, mainly due to his older brother who was part of a b-boy crew and responsible for bringing Hip Hop culture into the household through bootleg VHS tapes of aforementioned movies.
By the time Yo! MTV Raps was also internationally broadcasted, DNG became heavily influenced by rapacts as NWA, Ice-T, The D.O.C., DJ Quik, Public Enemy, Geto Boys, Erik B & Rakim, Too $hort and started writing rhymes and making beats at the age of 14.
With a lot of activity going on in the local underground rapscene, DNG was part of several short lived rapgroups untill he teamed up with three other local mc's in 1999 and formed rapcrew Coup deVillz.
After independenlty releasing their debut album "Chrysalis" in 2002, the group gained even more recognition in the Dutch rapscene which lead to many gigs and them be opening act for The Liks, Onyx, Jeru the Damaja and rockband Di-Rect.
While his main focus was on the group, DNG has never stopped working on solo material and released "DaMiniMeMixtape" and first video "Lil Nut" in 2006.
After dropping their second independent album "Monarchs" in 2008, the group put an end to futher collective efforts in 2009 to pursue other personal goals.
Still enthousiastic about making beats and writing rhymes, DNG set his mind on finishing his first official solo album that he has been working on for quite a while. Not the one to get caught up in hypes, trends and gimmicks, DNG hopes his soon to be released debut album (Regardless) will bring back some balance to current soundscape of rapmusic and will enable him to bombrush stages to rock the mic again.
"It's like I’m completely starting from scratch because I've got to prove myself again. A lot of folks know me as that dude from the Coup but don't know I can definitely hold it down on the solo tip. So I kind of consider myself as the new old kid on the block that's ready to play ball and has a lot of terrain to conquer. I'm really excited to face that challenge."
